The Challenge
Our Solution
3D Walkabout was engaged by the Australian Timber Flooring Association (ATFA) to develop a 3D visualisation training platform for their members. Originally planned as a Unity game engine project, we pivoted to a browser-based solution to ensure it was more accessible for a larger audience. Leveraging the Matterport platform, we created an interactive ‘ATFA house’, showcasing common timber flooring challenges. Through an API integration with Moodle, users could explore the virtual space and access course content via markers. Upon completion, users submitted their progress for review by ATFA staff. This approach delivered a practical and scalable training platform, aligning with ATFA’s objectives for engaging and accessible member education.
