Known for their seamless repairs and professional approach, they’ve expanded their expertise to include innovative solutions like the ‘CapLock’ capping framework system. The Challenge

Creating the 3D Animation for Beautiful Group of Trades’ ‘CapLock’ system presented several challenges. Our main goal was to effectively illustrate the unique installation method of the capping framework, showing how it integrates seamlessly into existing frames and anchors new windows. This required a detailed and accurate 3D visualisation that clearly conveyed the product’s functionality. Additionally, capturing the precision and ease of the installation process was crucial.

This meant simulating the mechanics of how ‘CapLock’ slots into place and ensuring that the animation communicated this process intuitively. Achieving this involved intricate modeling and animation to represent the product’s real-world performance accurately. Furthermore, balancing the technical aspects with aesthetic quality posed a challenge. The animation needed to be both informative and visually appealing to engage viewers while maintaining technical accuracy. More recently specializing in 3D animation and immersive visual content, Blair has honed particular expertise in Matterport 360° virtual tour scanning. During Blair’s time at C3X, he led numerous Matterport scans—capturing spaces with precision, integrating virtual walkthroughs, and producing immersive visual assets for clients. For the past six months, Blair has brought this expertise to 3DWalkabout, where he continues to push the boundaries of virtual environment creation.
