The Challenge
Creating the 3D animation for Eternal Homes posed several challenges. Our primary goal was to accurately capture the variety of home styles and designs while showcasing the spacious layouts and modern finishes that define their properties. Achieving a high level of realism was essential to reflect the expert craftsmanship and latest inclusions featured in these homes. Additionally, the project required precise lighting to enhance the captivating feel of the animation. Balancing the range of design elements with an engaging visual experience presented further challenges, as we needed to ensure the final animation conveyed the blend of luxury and affordability that Eternal Homes is known for.
Our Solution
3D Walkabout was engaged to create a 3D animation that would bring Eternal Homes’ awe-inspiring residential properties to life. The client wanted to showcase the wide range of styles, designs, and price points of their homes, ensuring that potential buyers could visualise the modern layouts, high-quality finishes, and expert craftsmanship. To achieve this, we closely collaborated with the client to accurately reflect their vision in the animation. Using D5 rendering software, we meticulously built 3D models of their homes, ensuring that every detail, from spacious interiors to modern finishes, was faithfully represented. The lighting was carefully crafted to enhance the realism and create a captivating visual experience. Our team used advanced 3D modelling and animation techniques to highlight the variety of design elements, ensuring that the final animation conveyed the blend of luxury and affordability that defines Eternal Homes. The result was a visually engaging and highly realistic animation that exceeded the client’s expectations. By focusing on the fine details and delivering a high level of realism, we successfully communicated the unique features of Eternal Homes’ properties, providing potential buyers with a compelling and immersive preview of their future homes.

He has over 25 years in the tech and media industry and has founded, funded, and successfully exited several technology businesses. In 2017, he launched 3D Walkabout with a vision to help small and medium-sized businesses harness the power of VR to transform customer engagement. Today, the company delivers cutting-edge solutions to clients across Australia, with 20+ team members based in almost every state. Tim is based in Margaret River, WA, where he lives, works & plays. When he’s not in front of a computer he’s chasing big waves on his foil & wing!

FACT FILE: Christopher is a 3D Scanning Operator at 3D Walkabout, based in Sydney, with a diverse professional background spanning graphic arts, printing, and immersive 3D media. As the former owner and operator of Clear Immersive Technology and Media, he pioneered 3D scanning and virtual tour solutions using Matterport and drone technologies, helping clients visualise and manage projects remotely during the COVID-19 era. With extensive experience in client management, workflow optimisation, and quality assurance, Christopher brings a detail-oriented and process-driven approach to every project.
