The Melbourne CBD Skyscraper Development is a high-profile project known for its luxurious design and cutting-edge features. The development will include a Mercedes showroom, premium office spaces, and expansive penthouse suites, aiming to set a new standard in upscale urban architecture.

The Challenge

Developing the 3D animation for the Melbourne CBD skyscraper posed several challenges. Our primary goal was to effectively showcase the building’s diverse features, including the Mercedes showroom, office spaces, and luxurious penthouse suites, to facilitate a successful pitch to Mercedes. This required creating a detailed and engaging fly-through animation that highlighted the distinct mix of residential, retail, and commercial spaces.

Additionally, incorporating dynamic ‘reveal’ effects to transparently display the internal floor plans while maintaining visual clarity and impact required precise technical execution. Ensuring the animation captured the grandeur and sophistication of the development while meeting the client’s presentation needs was a key challenge.

Our Solution

The Melbourne CBD skyscraper development required a compelling way to visualise the building’s extensive features for a successful pitch to Mercedes. To meet this need, we created an immersive 3D animated fly-through that showcased the development’s key elements, including the Mercedes showroom, office spaces, and luxurious penthouse suites. We collaborated closely with the developers and architects to transform their plans into detailed 3D models. The animation incorporated innovative ‘reveal’ effects, allowing viewers to see through the building’s exterior as floors seamlessly disappeared, unveiling the interior spaces in stunning detail.

This dynamic visual approach highlighted the mix of residential, retail, and commercial areas within the skyscraper. Graphical overlays and transitions were used to emphasize the different aspects of the development, providing a clear and engaging representation of the project.
