3D Walkabout produced a clear, instructional product animation for Manovella, balancing visual polish with technical accuracy to support customer education and trade installation.

The Client

Manovella Design is a Melbourne-based door and cabinet hardware brand specialising in high-quality architectural handles and fittings for residential and design-led projects. Founded and operated by experienced Australian locksmiths, Manovella focuses on premium finishes, durable craftsmanship, and expert advice tailored to homeowners, builders, and interior professionals. With more than 25 years in the industry, they offer stylish, reliable hardware backed by strong customer satisfaction and local service.

The Challenge

The Manovella Appliance Pull project required creating a clear, precise product animation that not only showcased the design quality of the hardware but also explained correct installation details in a way that was easy to understand for end users, installers, and trade audiences.

The challenge was balancing visual polish with technical clarity. Small details mattered, measurements, backsets, optional components, fixing methods, and installation advice all needed to be shown accurately without cluttering the animation or confusing viewers. Throughout production, the client provided detailed, incremental feedback, including changes to on-screen text, playback speed, labels, and visual cues such as tape placement and fixing orientation.

Our Solution

We took a collaborative, detail-driven approach to ensure the animation was both visually refined and technically accurate. Working closely with the Manovella team, we treated each round of feedback as part of a structured refinement process rather than rework, allowing the video to evolve without losing clarity or momentum.

By carefully integrating on-screen text, timing adjustments, and visual cues, we ensured the animation clearly communicated optional components, correct measurements, and installation guidance — all while keeping the presentation clean and easy to follow. The final animation strikes a balance between product storytelling and practical instruction, making it suitable for customer education, trade use, and future B2B applications.

Included practical visual cues (e.g., blue painter’s tape) to support real-world installation guidance

Added clear on-screen text for key callouts (e.g., “Base Plates are Optional”)

Kept the final video clean, product-focused, and ready for customer + trade/B2B use

Adjusted playback speed to improve flow and keep the video engaging

Refined the animation through a structured feedback-and-revision workflow

Updated measurement labels to avoid confusion and improve accuracy
