Move beyond attendance. See what happened inside the training.

A completion record tells you that someone finished a session. It does not tell you which hazards they missed, where they hesitated, which sequence they followed or whether they improved on a second attempt.

Walkabout XR training analytics is being developed to give training, HSEQ and operational leaders more useful visibility into immersive learning activity.

THE RIGHT QUESTIONS

The Questions Better Training Data Should Answer

Did the learner recognise the critical risk?

Record whether important hazards, controls or faults were identified—not simply whether the module was opened.

Hazard identification analytics dashboard
Sequence replay showing whether the correct process was followed

Did they follow the right process?

Review key actions, sequence and decision points against the intended procedure.

Where are teams getting stuck?

Look for recurring errors or missed steps that may point to a training, communication or process issue.

Progress chart showing improvement across training attempts

Is performance improving?

Compare attempts and progress over time where user tracking and assessment functions are enabled.

ROADMAP CAPABILITY

Potential Analytics View

The evolving analytics and reporting roadmap may include:

Module starts and completions

Learner or cohort progress tracking

Scores, pass criteria and assessment outcomes

Critical actions completed or missed

Scenario choices and branching paths

Time spent in a module or at key steps

Repeat attempts and performance improvement

Supervisor review and feedback

Site, role or group-level reporting

Multi-module learning pathway progress

WHO SEES WHAT

Three Levels of Insights

OUR APPROACH

Data With a Purpose

Walkabout XR is not being developed to produce dashboards for their own sake. Useful analytics should connect directly to learning objectives and operational decisions.

Before building a module, we identify the behaviours or decisions that matter. That makes it possible to define what should be measured, what should remain coaching feedback and what would constitute a meaningful assessment outcome.

WHAT GETS MEASURED

Examples of Measurable Training Behaviour

01
Selecting the correct isolation point before beginning work
04
Choosing an appropriate response to a fire or emergency cue
02
Identifying a damaged component during a pre-start inspection
05
Recognising a fall hazard and selecting the correct control
03
Maintaining the required sequence in a permit-to-work process
06
Stopping work when conditions no longer match the authorisation

STATUS

Current Status

Training analytics, reporting, progress tracking, assessment tools and supervisor review are planned or evolving areas within Walkabout XR. Advanced analytics, custom reporting and LMS integrations are not assumed to be included in the current platform offer.

WHAT WE CONFIRM DURING SCOPING

During a demonstration or scoping session, we will confirm what data can currently be captured, how results can be reviewed and which reporting requirements should influence the module and platform roadmap.

OUR APPROACH

Plan the Measurement Before the Module

01

Define the objective

Define the learning objective and the operational behaviour it represents.

02

Identify the evidence

Identify the learner actions and decisions that provide credible evidence.

03

Set the criteria

Set appropriate feedback, completion or pass criteria.

04

Agree who sees the result

Agree who needs to see the result and what decision they will make from it.

05

Test before scale

Test the data with representative users before using it at scale.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Walkabout XR replace an LMS?

No. Walkabout XR is an immersive training platform. LMS integration is not assumed in the current offer and would need to be confirmed or scoped separately.

Can results be reported by site or team?

Group-level reporting is part of the intended direction. Availability depends on the current release, user setup and agreed reporting design.

Can analytics prove workforce competency?

VR performance can provide useful evidence, but competency decisions should remain aligned with your organisation’s assessment framework, regulatory obligations and supervisor judgement.
