IOR Bunnings Station | 3D Animation for Architectural Visualisation

3D animation for the IOR Bunnings Service Station, showcasing realistic design details, interactive elements, and a seamless customer journey.

The Client

IOR is an Australian-owned fuel supplier supporting transport, aviation, resources, and agriculture sectors nationwide. With a strong depot and service station network, they combine reliable fuel supply with innovative management systems, making them a trusted partner for businesses across the country.

The Challenge

IOR engaged us to create a high-quality 3D animation to showcase a new Bunnings service station concept. The film needed to combine architectural accuracy with lifelike details, complete with vehicles, people interactions, branded screens, and smooth camera movements.

The main challenge was balancing constant client updates with technical precision. Re-branding to Bunnings standards, refining layouts, and syncing multiple UI displays required tight coordination. At the same time, realistic lighting, reflections, and materials had to remain consistent across day-to-dusk sequences. With heavy assets, long frame ranges, and multiple revisions, efficient render management and streamlined workflows were essential to deliver the polished result.

Our Solution

To meet the client’s expectations, the team implemented a structured and highly collaborative workflow. We worked closely with the architects and marketing team to refine every detail, from accurate site modeling and car animations to screen content integration. Iterative previews were shared regularly, ensuring client feedback was quickly addressed and incorporated.

Advanced rendering techniques were used to manage lighting, reflections, and textures across complex scenes, while specialized add-ons and optimized rendering pipelines helped handle the heavy assets efficiently. By maintaining consistent communication, applying precise brand updates, and leveraging technical expertise in animation and rendering, we were able to deliver a seamless and visually engaging 3D film that captured the service station’s functionality and customer experience.
