Tumbled Showroom – Interactive 3D Virtual Tour

An interactive 3D virtual tour of Tumbled’s Adelaide showroom, letting customers explore products up close. The tour allows zooming in on items and shows product names, making it easy for clients to browse and learn about products anytime, anywhere.

The Client

Tumbled is an Australian homewares brand offering a range of modern, hand-crafted concrete basins, tiles, vanities, and furniture. Based in Adelaide, they combine design and durability to create unique pieces for residential and commercial spaces.

The Challenge

Tumbled, a retail business with a showroom in Adelaide, wanted to create a virtual showroom experience for their customers. The goal was to allow clients to explore the showroom remotely, zoom in on products, and ideally see product names displayed during the tour. This required a solution that not only captured the showroom accurately but also made it easy for customers to interact with products online.

The challenge was to create a detailed 3D capture that showcased the space and products clearly, while making sure product names and zoom features worked smoothly. As many of the products are small, having high-resolution scanning and clear labelling was critical to ensure customers could view details without physically visiting the store.

Our Solution

To bring Tumbled’s virtual showroom, we carried out a high-quality 3D scan of their Adelaide showroom, capturing both the space and products with great detail. This scan was turned into an interactive virtual tour that allows customers to navigate the showroom, zoom in on products, and view product names as they explore.

We worked closely with Tumbled to identify key products and ensure product labels were added accurately. The tour was designed to be simple for customers to use on any device, offering a smooth online experience that helps showcase Tumbled’s range without needing to visit in person.

3D SCANNING OPERATOR (NSW) - ‘J-SCAN’
FACT FILE: John is a 3D Scanning Operator at 3D Walkabout, based in Sydney, with a decade of experience in 3D design, virtual reality production, and immersive environment creation. With a background as a 3D artist and researcher, John brings deep expertise in real-time 3D production, photogrammetry, and environment design using tools such as Unreal Engine, Unity, Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, and Reality Capture. Before joining 3D Walkabout, John worked extensively in VR/XR development and teaching at UNSW. He holds a PhD in Virtual Reality Design from the University of New South Wales.
