Airco Brands, a 100% Australian-owned company, has been a trusted provider of tools and fasteners for over 60 years. Serving various markets, Airco is one of the largest fastener companies in Australia and New Zealand, with six distribution centres nationwide. With a focus on industry-leading quality control and locally designed products, Airco’s portfolio includes respected brands like SENCO and Otter. ISO accredited, Airco remains the go-to supplier for quality tools across Australia.
The Challenge
Launching Airco’s new Nailgun required a comprehensive visual representation to showcase the product’s features effectively. The primary challenge was to create accurate and engaging 3D models from 2D drawings, ensuring that every detail of the Nailgun was captured. This involved developing not just a single model but a range of 3D visualisations, including a web-based model, AR model, animation, and still renders.
The project demanded a high level of precision to translate the technical drawings into realistic 3D assets that would resonate with Airco’s target audience. Additionally, ensuring that these assets were versatile enough to be used across multiple platforms and media presented a further challenge. The final visualisations needed to be compelling and functional, facilitating a successful product launch and demonstrating the Nailgun’s innovative features in a way that would engage and inform potential customers.
Our Solution
3D Walkabout was tasked with creating a suite of 3D visualisations to support Airco’s launch of their new nailgun. The client needed a range of 3D assets to bring the product to life, starting from the initial 2D drawings and developing them into various visual formats. Our team converted the 2D drawings into detailed 3D models, ensuring every feature of the nailgun was accurately represented. This included a 3D web-based model, an AR model, a high-quality animation, and still renders that could be used across different marketing channels.
