The Client

The Challenge

Macquarie Data Centres required a high-quality 3D animation to showcase its Macquarie Park campus and highlight key features of its infrastructure. To bring this vision to life, the project needed close coordination between internal marketing, external architects, and 3D Walkabout.

A major requirement was accessing and preparing detailed 3D CAD files from the architecture team, which had to be exported in formats compatible with the animation pipeline. Alongside this, brand guidelines, site drawings, and storyboard development all needed to be aligned before production could begin. The challenge lay in ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and a smooth handover of technical assets while keeping the creative vision on track.

Our Solution

The 3D Walkabout team worked closely with Macquarie Data Centres’ marketing and architectural partners to streamline the animation process. By providing clear guidelines on the required CAD formats (.ifc or .fbx), the architects were able to deliver files that could be directly integrated into the animation workflow.

Brand guidelines, site drawings, and reference imagery were incorporated to ensure the final animation matched Macquarie’s visual identity. The storyboard was refined in collaboration with the client, balancing technical accuracy with creative storytelling. The result was a smooth production process where architectural detail, branding, and animation techniques came together to create a compelling 3D visual asset for Macquarie Data Centres.
