The Client

Costas Constructions is a Melbourne-based construction company delivering residential building projects. For this townhouse development, the team engaged 3D Walkabout to create architectural visualisations that would clearly communicate the proposed design, materials and finishes.

Initially focused on applying nominated colours and materials to the supplied architectural elevations, the project evolved into a more comprehensive visualisation package, providing a realistic representation of the development and its overall design intent.

The Challenge

Costas Constructions needed more than architectural drawings to clearly communicate how the proposed townhouse development would come together. The project required visuals that could present the overall streetscape while also giving a sense of the design and atmosphere within the homes.

The challenge was to turn the supplied plans, material selections and design details into cohesive, realistic imagery, ensuring the architecture and finishes remained consistent across both the exterior and interior views.

Our Solution

Rather than treating each image as a standalone render, we developed the townhouse project as one cohesive visual environment. The selected facade colours, materials and architectural details were applied across the development, while landscaping and surrounding elements were introduced to give the streetscape a finished and believable setting.

Two streetscape angles were then created to show the development from different perspectives, complemented by an interior view that brought the visual story inside the home. Together, the three images provided Costas Constructions with a clearer presentation of both the development as a whole and the character of its individual spaces.
