St Francis School | Virtual Tours of Joondalup & Mullaloo Campuses

3D Walkabout captured virtual tours of St Francis School’s Joondalup and Mullaloo campuses, giving families and stakeholders an easy way to explore the school online without visiting in person.

The Client

St Francis School is a Catholic primary school in Western Australia, with campuses in Joondalup and Mullaloo. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment, focused on academic growth, community values, and student development.

The Challenge

St Francis School required a set of high-quality 3D virtual tours to showcase two of their campus locations, Joondalup and Mullaloo. The goal was to create immersive digital walkthroughs that would allow parents, students, and stakeholders to explore the school environments online without needing to visit the sites in person. The project involved capturing multiple buildings across both campuses, including two buildings at Joondalup (approximately 400sqm each) and a larger 1000sqm building at Mullaloo. Coordinating the scanning across multiple spaces while ensuring a smooth, connected viewing experience required careful planning, efficient capture, and a clear approach to structuring the virtual tours.

Our Solution

3D Walkabout coordinated with the St Francis School team to organise efficient on-site scanning across both campuses in Joondalup and Mullaloo. Once the quote was approved, professional Matterport capture was scheduled to photograph and scan each building, ensuring all key spaces were documented clearly and accurately.

The scanning process covered two buildings at the Joondalup campus and one larger building at Mullaloo, creating immersive digital twins that could be explored online. The final virtual tours allow prospective families and stakeholders to walk through the campuses remotely, providing an easy way to experience the school environment without needing to visit in person.
