The Challenge

AMS Constructions required fast-turnaround Matterport scans across multiple pharmacy fitout sites, with tight coordination needed between project approvals, site access, invoicing, and scheduling. The challenge was managing multiple moving parts at once. Scan dates needed to be locked in quickly, client approvals were still being finalised, and each location had different access requirements, travel considerations, and onsite contacts.

There was also a need to capture accurate site information beyond the standard scan scope, including confirming exact external banner dimensions while on-site. Delivering the project efficiently meant balancing responsiveness, accurate site coordination, and smooth execution across several locations without delaying production.

Our Solution

3D Walkabout implemented a streamlined coordination process to manage multiple sites efficiently, aligning scheduling, approvals, and site access across all locations. Clear communication was established with onsite contacts to ensure smooth entry and minimal disruption, while scan dates were secured early to keep the project moving forward despite ongoing client approvals. On-site, operators used laser measuring tools to capture highly accurate dimensions, including additional requirements beyond the standard scan scope, such as external banner measurements.

Any technical issues, such as multiple scans needing to be merged, were quickly resolved in post-production, ensuring a clean and seamless final output. The result was a well-coordinated delivery across all sites, maintaining speed, accuracy, and quality throughout the entire process.
