Karstens Perth – 3D Virtual Tour of Commercial Office Venue
This virtual tour of Karstens Perth showcases open and partitioned layouts, giving clients an interactive way to explore and plan events remotely.

The Client
Karstens Perth is a professional conference and meeting venue located in the heart of the CBD, offering premium facilities with flexible room configurations and full-service support. As part of Karstens’ network of venues across Australia and New Zealand, their Perth centre caters to corporate clients seeking high-quality spaces for meetings, seminars, and training events.

The Challenge
Karstens Perth required two distinct virtual tours of the same conference space at Georges Street, Terrace, in Perth’s CBD to showcase its flexibility. The venue features a large conference room that can either be presented as one open space or divided into two smaller rooms using a movable partition. The goal was to clearly illustrate both layouts to assist with event and meeting planning.
Capturing both configurations clearly involved scanning the space twice—once with the room fully open and again with the partition in place. This required efficient coordination and clear communication with the on-site staff to smoothly manage the room changes. The final virtual tours needed to be clearly labelled, accurate, visually professional, and user-friendly. Given the venue’s commercial use, ensuring high-quality visuals and proper file handling was essential for effective client presentations and online use.
Our Solution
To bring Karstens Perth’s premium commercial venue to life, two separate 3D virtual tours were created—one showing the space in an open-plan layout, and the other with the conference room divided using its built-in partition wall. This allowed prospective clients to explore both room configurations interactively, helping them visualise how the space could suit different event types.
Our team captured the entire 1320m² venue using a Matterport Pro2 camera, ensuring every detail was clear and professional. The scanning process was managed carefully: the full space was captured first, then the model was duplicated so the conference room could be scanned again in its alternate setup without affecting the original. Both tours were processed and labelled clearly, with smooth navigation and accessible links provided for web use. The final models offer an immersive, browser-based experience that supports Karstens in promoting their flexible event space to clients with confidence and clarity.
