Health Careers International | Virtual Tour of IHNA Brisbane Campus
3D Walkabout captured IHNA’s Brisbane campus using Matterport, delivering a clean, self-guided virtual tour with structured navigation and guided highlights for students and stakeholders.
The Client
Institute of Health & Nursing Australia (IHNA) is a nationally recognised education provider delivering health, nursing, and community services training across Australia. With a strong focus on practical, industry-aligned learning, IHNA prepares students for careers in aged care, disability support, allied health, and nursing.
The Challenge
The Matterport experience for the IHNA Brisbane Campus (Level 3, ~1,100 sqm)—built for prospective students, parents, and agents, and ready to embed on their website. The job wasn’t just “capture a tour.” It needed to feel intentional and easy to navigate, with the right starting point, clean branding, and clear wayfinding, while also managing privacy and sensitive information inside an active education environment.
On top of that, the deliverable had multiple moving parts: merging two scans into one seamless walkthrough, correcting auto-blur issues (mannequins and training dummies were blurred unintentionally), and setting up MatterTags + a guided highlight route that followed a specific path through key areas like the lift and simulation labs, without confusing viewers or slowing down the user experience.
Our Solution
We treated the tour like a guided campus experience, not just a scan, so it would feel clear, intentional, and ready to publish. First, we locked in a smooth on-site capture with the right timing, then consolidated the deliverable into one clean, shareable Matterport link by merging the separate scans. From there, we refined the presentation layer: renamed the space correctly, set the starting position to match the ideal first impression, and handled privacy properly by keeping only the necessary sensitive details blurred (like Wi-Fi info), while removing unnecessary auto-blur on training mannequins and dummies.
Finally, we added structure and story. We placed the requested MatterTags and built a guided highlight path that starts from Tag 1 and flows logically through the lift and up to the Level 3 entry, finishing inside the lab—so first-time viewers don’t get lost, and the campus journey makes sense.
Built a guided Highlight Reel path (Tag 1 – lift – Level 3 entry – Tag 3 -lab) for a smooth viewer journey
Merged multiple captures into one clean Matterport link for easy sharing + embedding
Fixed privacy settings by keeping only sensitive details blurred (e.g., Wi-Fi), removing unnecessary auto-blur
Added the requested MatterTags in the exact locations from the client’s screenshots/doc
Locked in the scan schedule around campus access (before busy hours) to avoid disruptions
Renamed the tour correctly and set the best start position/thumbnail for first impressions
